---Selfless Acts---
Our Rules & Laws

Welcome to Selfless Acts and we are pleased that you have expressed even a mild interest in our roleplay site. A brief description of the forum is that it pertains to the glory of Wolf Roleplaying. Catering to pack wolves to rejects and loners alike, although each may have a specific set of rules that they must follow. We are first and foremost a community.
This board however will inform you of what is expected of you in general, regardless of your character(s)' status. By following these guidelines it ensures that we can all enjoy one another's company and keep the out of character fighting to a minimal. We are only human so we do not expect all to flow well but we strive to make a harmonious congregation where we can all have fun together.General Rules
We do expect a level of maturity from every member. This is why we will be allowing profanity but please do not use it excessively. If this becomes a problem it will be discontinued.
Under no circumstances is anyone to impersonate someone else. It is a childish thing to do so save us all the trouble and confusion that it can cause. We want you all to be mature about everything here.
The Administrators of this site are here to help you so please do not be rude to us. We are a group of people who love what we do as much as you might and we are in charge. Our final verdicts are not to be discussed unless you have a serious issue with it.
Flaming is not allowed! We cannot stress this rule enough. The sexual orientation, preferences, ethnicity, ect. of others are not to be denounced for any reason. Harassing or being verbally abusive to another member will not be tolerated and is punishable by account deletion and IP address block.
Do not spam the boards with out of character posts unless you are in the board designated for such. We have roleplay boards and we have ooc boards as well as a C-box so we can all chit-chat but we would not like to see it on the rp topics.
Plagrism is a serious offense. People work hard at what they do whether it be stories or artwork. Anything that you find on this site is not for others to sneakily take and publish as their own. If you would like to use a graphic you must ask the artist or person who put it on the site if it was something they made.
There should be no arguing outside of role play. We want this to be enjoyable so don't pick at other people for stupid things like a few grammar mistakes. Yes, we are literate but we're also human so get over it.
In-Character Rules
Liquid-time refers to the amount of boards any given character can be in at one time. The maximum is two however we do understand that there can be a dilemma if the people you are on a board with suddenly vanish. If within two days of you posting for a character and you do not receive a reply or are not contacted by that person you a free to remove your character from that board or keep the topic open and move elsewhere.
God-moding is not allowed. There will be cases where your characters will fight one another, this much is certain. But there will be rules on how a winner will be determined. You will find this information in another topic.
Creativity is key to success both in life as well as in role play. Try to make yourself unique from everyone, understandably this is a hard task, but don't make characters with the same prerogative. Ex. Male/Female characters bent on global take over or Male/Female looking for revenge and only stops when he/she finds love. Sure there can be characters like this but not all please.
This site is fantasy oriented thus odd colors will be allowed. However they will also be a hindrance to your character. If they have some extreme array of colors splashed into their fur they are more likely to be seen by not only other wolves but the prey they stalk and thus they will not be able to hunt to the best of their ability. Keep that in mind when you create your wolf character.
No perfect characters. Everyone has flaws and this pertains to more then just humans. If your wolf is a gentle canine then make it also have a short temper. Something that is not so great about them.
Force breeding is allowed so long as both roleplayers consent to it. Force breeding a female does have consequences. Stress can amount to a she-wolf having a miscarriage. Females in turn can kill the pups themselves or abandon them if they are unable to provide for them or do not want them. It is the sole discretion of the female player whether or not she carries the litter full term.
It is very possible for female wolves who are not within a pack to be kidnapped and force bred by males. Although it is solely up to the roleplayers if the female's struggles win out the male's persistence but in most cases they are not likely to escape a healthy adult. But again, it is up to the victim. Females who are bred by force can be driven into their abusers territory and held hostage and may escape or be released. This rule does not only limit it to lone female but pack females are also targets if they wish to be.
To contend for a high rank is possible. Knocking an alpha out of the running is not unheard of but you must be aware that these high levels did not get to their positions by smarts alone. Fighting a high ranking wolf is potentially fatal to your character. If you are defeated in an official fight between a dominant wolf then you are at the mercy of your opponent. Please be advised! This does not mean you are able to be killed, it is up to you whether this can happen or not but taking a great deal of damage can get you evicted from the pack if the Alpha supports the decision. Also, if your wolf is defeated in a fight they will walk away with a significant injury that they will carry for one, real time week before fully healing. Unless of course your wolf knows/is a healer.
Females enter their receptive cycles during the fall and through winter and it is during those seasons only that mating for the prospect of pups is allowed. Birthing can only occur during the summer and during the spring. She-wolves who are two years of age and above can have pups and become receptive in the fall and in the winter. Males must be a year or older to impregnate a female.
Pups can only be born during the summer and the spring. A pregnant female must wait until either season before she can give birth to her litter. Pups must be blind for one full week before they can open their eyes, speak and generally be considered pups that can be roleplayed by either the parents or those who adopt them. After one season they can jump to being a year old.
Gestation periods should last no less than three real life weeks, and no more than five weeks. Litters can be no larger than four wolves. An admin will choose the gender of your pups, open for suggestion, and will also say if any are still born or have a defect.
Now that you've read all of our rules you will need to pm an administrator to get the password for the profile boards.
