Sky stopped in her tracks. The fae didn't doubt him for a moment. His growl had made her slow her pace. His teeth made her stop completely. It didn't hurt, but she knew that it would not be difficult fo him to rip her tail off. A wolf without a tail. A disgrace. One wouldn't even be able to balance while running. Fighting would become almost impossible, and hunting would become out of the question. Sky knew that she'd have to be extremely careful now. And then there was her pride.
She couldn't just give in like that. She looked around as if she were looking for something. It was all a show to get his attention. "Hmm..." her gaze continued to travel to everything around them. "Nope. I'm pretty sure this is still loner's lands. And you don't have my servitude or my loyalty." She didn't pull her tail from his grip; Sky wasn't stupid. She knew that would end horribly. Instead, she lowered her head and ears and glared at him over her shoulder.
She knew that what was on her mind was going to be probably the dumbest thing she could do. If only she wasn't so proud, and she was able to just be a good girl. Her teeth quickly found the soft flesh of his foreleg. She could easily break his leg now; it was up to him. "Let go of my tail. We're not on your lands..." Ok, it was almost up to him. If he could read her as well as she figured he could, he'd know that she didn't have it in her to actually break his leg. Just a few minutes ago, she'd been calling him her lord. She could do some serious damage though. Just to be safe, she gently lowered her tail to parallel the ground.

Danger's grip did not relent enough to permit speech, fastened in place he was gradually applying the weight of his jaws on the captured appendage for every second that it remained in its aloft position. His lands be damned, Danger wasn't a wolf of practicality, the technical bullshit wasn't something he often regarded – and if he did it was solely because the situation could be manipulated in his favor and give him that much more leeway. The opalescent eyes shined with spite, again the silent provocation that rested within the swirling silver pools coaxing the derisive female to say something less than placating so he wouldn't feel any twinges of remorse in the aftermath. Not to say there was a slim possibility that he would feel rueful after liberating the appendage from its host.
He observed her antics with his unappeased stare, prepared to lock his teeth together and feel the grinding of his molars as they connected with the underlying bone. Looking around and stating the obvious would not free her from him. Loner lands or not he had established her role, he had thus claimed her as his own and was not going to be denied. He would not allow this mangy female to rebuff him in any manner that didn't involve him rebuking her afterward. She would learn that her realm was not compatible with his regime and this was not a democracy but a dictatorship – his word was law and life for her.
To some effect he was greatly surprised when the female turned her fangs on him and put his fore-limb in her mouth. The action was unexpected to say the very least and there was a momentary lapse of etiquette, it lasted not more than a few seconds but in that time he grudgingly commended her for her nerve. If only she had less of it.
Danger honestly didn't care anymore. He doubted that she would deliver a serious blow that would devastate him. She didn't have the physical strength to tear hims limb from its socket – whereas he had the physical capability to tear her tail from her backside. A limb that was intact could be healed but an appendage torn from the body would never be regained and it was that notion that Danger relied on. The Defir alpha refused to be mocked any longer, the bitch would learn through pain if necessary. Teeth began to mercilessly grind through the flesh, the first coppery droplets forced from the fresh abrasion were a delight.

His antics did not frighten her in anyway, and she was too proud to applaud. He was brutal; he was devistating; he was damn near evil. But, most of all, he was a king. Sky would have to learn that not only was he a king, but he was her king. She was going to have to put her life at his paws and hope for the best. Hope... she thought darkly. What an aweful thing to have to do.... She had never hoped before -- she didn't aprove of her imagination.
She barely even noticed that she'd gained a little bit of respect in the male's eyes. Afterall, she couldn't see him very well. She could only feel the temporary lapse of pain at her tail. Once more, the thought of losing it made her head swim. Firstly, that would be the most painful thing she'd ever experienced, and secondly, she wasn't a lizard -- the thing wouldn't grow back. She would live completely disgraced, with little way to comunicate or fight or hunt.
Well, she didn't hunt much anyway, but that doesn't mean she'd welcome it getting harder. Suddenly, she felt his teeth break the skin. Immediately, she clamped her jaws on his leg, tasting blood and feeling bone almost simultaneously. She didn't purposely bite that hard, but her tail hurt like hell now. Quickly, she let go and howled in pain. If it was on her leg or her back or her shoulder or even her flank, she'd have been able to handle it. But the base of her tail!?
Her entire body grew very still and her head dropped in submission. She could do nothing about lowering her tail at this point, it was as low as it could go -- limp in his jaws. His teeth were now locked in the tendons that controled the appendage. If he continued biting down, there was a chance it would never raise again. Silently, she wished she wasn't too proud to beg. If she was like every other wolf, she would've started begging for forgiveness, but not Sky. No, Sky would take whatever punishment he deemed necissary without complaint.
She took a deep breath and turned to lick at the wound she'd placed in his leg. As long as it was cleaned every now and then, he'd heal fine. Being very careful not to make eye contact, she stayed completely silent. The pain in her tail was slowly traveling up her spine. She would not beg. It wasn't in her. She cleaned his leg with her tongue, something that should've almost taken the pain out of it completely. It was her form of an apology, but more importantly, it was her submitting to him as her alpha, her king. He'd have problems with her again, but they wouldn't be like this.

Anger rode him and Danger restrained little as the forewarning pressure intensified as the female’s teeth bit into his foreleg. She would bleed for this! The Alpha had no qualms about disgracing her permanently – it would serve as a reminder to others that opposition was not welcome.
If the moonlight not already touched his eyes with bands of white the grim silver pools would have brightened with satisfaction. Although Sky had gone toe to tooth with him she seemed to realize, if only for the moment, that her disposition was not a leverage she could exploit. Moreover, Danger couldn’t decide whether her actions up until this moment had been admirable or foolhardy – rarely had he encountered a lone canine to give him such grief over who was top dog in this food chain. Several long moments passed as the brutish wolf warily regarded the female who gave her silent apology through languid strokes of her tongue against the small abrasion she had created. Had Sky taken their grandstanding another plateau further he’d have taken her tail as a souvenir.
Suddenly the weight of his mouth was no longer at the base of her tail but had traveled upward past her shoulder to the back of her neck, biting the scruff with a fierce yet possessive snarl echoing through him. ”Offend me again and you’ll lose a lot more than your fucking tail, Understand?” there was no warmth to his words, the bitter chill of his warning ringing a promise that he’d fulfill without hesitation if this situation were to repeat itself.
He glared at her as he released the fleshy mass of fur and took the lead. Danger didn't wait to see if she would follow if she didn't than she'd better pray they never met again.
